Location
Situated in the picturesque region of Manche, Normandy, Ferme de la Fleur offers a host of attractions for all the family. The towns of La Haye du Puits, Periers and Carentan, are all within a 15 minute drive and there are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy reach, and various markets to explore.
The local village of Gorges offers a shop and a bar within walking distance of Ferme de la Fleur.
The Normandy D Day landing beaches are an important part of the area’s history, and stretch for approximately 60 miles from end to end comprising of the American Landing Beaches of Utah Beach and Omaha Beach and the British and Canadian Landing Beaches of Gold, Juno and Sword. The largest of them was Omaha Beach where the main US Invasion Force nearly came to disaster.
Other tourist attractions include Mont Saint Michel, The Bayeux Tapestry, Calvados (famous for it's apple brandy), Barfleur- where you can enjoy freshly caught mussels, whilst looking out over the harbour, and the local beach of Saint-Germain-sur-Ay, which offers miles of beautiful white sandy beaches with views of Jersey in the distance.
Whether you have an interest in museums, beaches, water sports, bird watching, walking, horse riding, fishing, golf, World War Two, traditional French craft towns or markets, you will be spoilt for choice when you holiday with us!
In the tranquil village of Gorges, we are in a great location for you to put your feet up and relax, either in the open courtyard, or in your garden area.
